This category contains facts about ingredients such as their names in various languages, where you can find them and how you can use them. A lot of Indian food is regional and the names used for them come from the language that is predominant in the state where the dish originates. I will try to give you synonyms of ingredients and food in English, Kannada (my mother tongue), Tamil and Hindi where I can and where I think it appropriate.
